Croutons (Greek Style!)

After you make these Greek seasoned croutons, you won’t be going back to plain ol’ croutons or store bought! It couldn’t be easier to make flavourful croutons. The hardest part about this recipe is not eating them all up before you store them for all your salads and soups.

Use these herby croutons to boost any salad (not just Caesar) and even to add a crunchy element to top your soups. By pulsing your croutons in a food processor or blender, you can easily create herby seasoned breadcrumbs, making this a two for one recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp, The Salty Greek

  • 3 cups, Bread (1 or 2 day old) cut similar size cubes

  • 1/4 cup, Olive Oil

Recipe Steps

  1. Put cubed bread, olive oil and The Salty Greek in a bowl and toss to coat evenly.

    In the oven

  2. Pre-heat oven 180°C.

  3. Spread in a single layer on baking sheet for about 15 minutes.

    In the air fryer

  4. Spread in a single layer on 180°C heat for about 5 minutes.

Tip: If you’re impatient, you can blast these at a higher heat, but keep an eye on them! They’re best enjoyed when they’re not toooo crispy.

Tips: Once these herby croutons have cooled down completely, store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
