Thank you to ALL our subscribers for your support over the year.
We appreciate your testimonials, ideas and encouragement. We joke that if there was a dollar for every time somebody said “Oh my gosh, I put it on EVERYTHING!” we could retire! To know that The Salty Greek is having such a positive impact is what keeps us going.
As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our journey together. This past year has been a delightful whirlwind! Balancing our daytime jobs while passionately working on The Salty Greek has been quite the adventure. Honestly, this year we’ve felt the crunch, and you might have noticed we’ve been a bit quieter.
Sitting down having a business “lunch” and coming up with creative ideas for our monthly recaps is my favourite. This year we wrapped up:
🎄An online food business course to learn more about the retail world of food, empowering us when we’re ready to grow
🎄Had the privilege of learning from Thia Yiannoula (the only one of Yiayia’s sisters here in Australia) how to make filo pastry
🎄Had Theo teach a workshop to the younger generation of our family how to do a lamb on the spit (and we filmed it to share with others!)
🎄Filmed Theo showing how to make his mum’s signature Avgolemono Soup
🎄Our stockists continued to amaze us from seafood pizzas to cafe specials,
🎄Theo joined us for the first time doing a Taste Test stall,
🎄We helped raise funds with our gift packs at Greek Dances and Annual Quiz Nights,
🎄Worked with a local marketing agency and we can’t wait to improve our web performance in 2026!
We’ve had our share of late nights and busy weekends, but all the effort has been well worth it hearing how much you love The Salty Greek has been incredibly motivating for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful, especially when our customers share their creations so we can feature, like Sonya and Richard have on our blog.
